1st ed, 1947, vg/vg- (~400$abebooks): 1st ed has the issue point of the bus being a lighter shade than the rest of the book and "Published by the Viking Press in February 1947" on copyright page.
Cover is brick red embossed (blind-stamped bus) cloth is 1st printing. 2nd is green.
NF in Fair DJ is ~$100-$300
(not price-clipped with the $2.75 price on the jacket flap)
VARIANT BINDING. Scarce grey cloth. Must not have later printing info.
Top pages stained blue.
